Rotterdam, Netherlands

A bronze statue of a young Black woman, nearly four meters tall, with Rotterdam Central train station in the background. The statue seems black to me, although described as bronze. The woman stands upright, hands in her pockets, looking confidently straight ahead. She is wearing a t-shirt, long loose-fitting pants, and sneakers, and is standing on the ground - not on a pedestal.
Indeed, after reading the description, I see that in her pants pockets you can see the knuckles of her clenched hands, which may also make the woman less casual than she appears at first glance.

For more information, read the wikipedia page of this statue, in Dutch: use an online translator for your own language: https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moments_Contained

Aside from the fact that I think it's a beautiful statue in a prominent location, I find Price's idea interesting: 'who, according to society, is worthy of a monument? Public sculptures often depict powerful men' [quote from Wikpedia], often long dead.
